Bang Bang Sauce
Bang Bang sauce is a spicy-sweet mayonnaise-based sauce consisting of mayo, sriracha, sweet chili sauce, and vinegar. It is traditionally used to coat Bang Bang Shrimp and is also served on the side with that dish. The name of this sauce is based on the Bonefish Grill restaurant chain.
The flavors in this are very versatile and can be used on sandwiches, as a dipper, or alongside proteins like chicken fingers. In addition, you’ll love easy this is to make.
Ingredients and Substitutions
- Mayonnaise – Any good full-fat mayonnaise will work.
- Sriracha – You will need to use sriracha sauce for this recipe. No, hot sauce will not work.
- Chili Sauce – This Thai sweet chili sauce can be found in the Asian isle in the grocery store. It is better known as Mae Ploy.
- Vinegar – I used rice wine vinegar. The other option would be distilled vinegar.
